Brothers,
With the departure of Fr. Chris, we were without a Chaplain. Fr. Anthony Iaconis, pastor of St. Peter the Apostle, has accepted my invitation to become our next Chaplain. Not only is Father a fourth degree knight but he had been the Chaplain in the council connected with his previous parish. Please join me in welcoming him to his new position.
Deacon Everett Lackenbauer will continue to serve as our Spiritual Advisor and will act as Chaplain in the absence of Fr. Anthony.
Vivat Jesus,
Jerry

Worthy Brothers,
Our Assumption Council were busy at the Make a Wish Foundation in front of Mary’s Pizza and the barbecue in Brentwood for our veterans . I would like to thank the following brothers for giving up their time to help out at Mary’s Pizza ; Mike Carrano, John Catrona, Jonathan Catrona, Tom Cilmi, Mike Cohen , Vin DeMaggio, Mark DuMoulin, Carmelo Farruglia, Frank Genco, Frank Genco Jr., Robert Hanna, Joe LaRocca, Mike McNulty, Bill Sladky, Jim Teixeira.
Special thank goes out to Brother Vin DeMaggio who brought his cotton candy machine and supplies from home and made the cotton candy all day. We made $128.00 on the cotton candy, and for the brothers who sold the raffle tickets the amount was $400.00. If you had the chance, channel 12 news covered our event at Mary’s Pizza.
Grand Knight Mike Cohen also went to work at the barbecue in Brentwood where he spent five hours on the grill.
Vivat jesus,
Tom
